Logan Men’s Basketball Races Past Southeastern Illinois 99-69

HARRISBURG, IL -- Jayden Scrubb scored 25 points and pulled down seasonal high 20 rebounds to lead John A. Logan to a 99-69 road win over Southeastern Illinois. The win combined with Olney's loss to Lincoln Trail put the Vols, 10-1 and 4-0, into sole possession of first place in the Great Rivers Athletic Conference.

 

Vonnie Patterson had 21 points and 7 rebounds for the Vols while Jonah Jackson had 15 points and Quamain Nelson had 14. SIC was led by Alex Pantelic with 18 points.  The Falcons are 3-6 and 0-4.

 

Logan never trailed in the game after a 7-0 start and led 43-29 at the half.  The Volunteers will be back in action next Saturday, hosting Lewis & Clark in a 3 p.m. game.
