BELLEVILLE — The John A. Logan women's basketball team beat the weather elements and Lindenwood Belleville on Tuesday night. The game was moved up 90-minutes because of the weather and the Lady Vols quickly dispatched the Lindenwood JV Lynx 93-21 and made it back home safely.
Destiny Cozart led the way for Logan with 21 points and a number of steals in the trapping defense. Shaniya Whitsell had 17 points followed by Kailie Baacon with 12, Farasia Hodge with 11 and Morgan Griffith with 10. Logan led 28-9 after one quarter and led 53-13 at the half.
The Lady Vols have another key road game on Saturday in a battle for third place in the conference when they play at Southeastern Illinois in a 1 p.m. game.
