VINCENNES, Ind. -- Third ranked John A. Logan was beaten by fourth ranked Vincennes, 86-76 on Saturday night. The loss ended a 14-game win streak by the Volunteers who are now 18-2 while Vincennes is 18-1.
The game was tight throughout with Vincennes leading most of the time. Logan got within one point late in the game, but the Trailblazers held off the challenge and claimed the victory. Logan made just 18-30 free throws.
The Volunteers had five players score in double figures led by Jay Scrubb and David Sloan with 18 each. Scrubb also had 7 rebounds while Sloan, the national leader in assists, had 11 assists. Chris Harris had 15 points, Jonah Jackson had 11 and Vonnie Patterson had 10.
Vincennes was led by Keith Clemons with 15 points.
