Patrick Morey enters his 9th season as an Assistant Coach for John A. Logan College in 2025-26. Coach Morey is the leader of the Volunteers' pitching staff, while helping with the hitters, outfielders, and Logan’s recruiting efforts.

During Coach Morey’s tenure at Logan, his staff has consistently been at the top in the nation in multiple categories. ‘Coach Mo’s’ staff year in and year out finishes at the top of the nation in ERA, strikeouts, K/9, and WHIP. 2025 was another banner year with the Vols pitchers finishing 3rd in the country in WHIP (1.28), 5th in the country in strikeouts (549), 6th for K/9 (10.63), while posting a team ERA of 4.09, good for 10th in the NJCAA. Vols pitchers continue to be highly sought after, with over 62 pitchers having moved on to the four-year level, including 46 who have signed with NCAA Division 1 programs. On average, Logan's pitching staff features just shy of 10 arms per year who go on to compete at the D1 level and 2.1 pitchers per staff reaching the professional ranks, including Tanner Gordon (Colorado Rockies) and Andrew Hoffmann (Kansas City Royals and Arizona Diamondbacks), currently pitching in the MLB.

Prior to Logan, Morey spent three seasons at McCook Community College. During his tenure, Morey helped guide the Indians to rewrite the school and individual record books, leading to the best three-year run in school history; which included back-to-back Region IX tournament appearances. Before McCook, Coach Morey had stops at Mount Michael Benedictine High School in Elkhorn, NE, where he served as Co-Head Coach. Coach Morey started his collegiate coaching career, after a highly decorated playing career at Hastings College (NE), Morey joined the Broncos coaching staff as the Pitching Coach in 2010. During his time with HC, Patrick helped lead the Broncos to the 2011 GPAC Championship, as well as having 4 pitchers being selected with All-GPAC honors over his 2 years.

During his playing career, Coach Morey was honored with 2 Gold Glove selections as well as the 2008 All-GPAC Relief Pitcher. Morey finished his career in the top ten all time in multiple hitting and pitching categories and is the all-time leader in Sacrifice Fly’s.
